Adventures with GameCube!!!

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>This morning I decided I'd finally buy a game for my $99 Gamecube. So around 1:00PM I went to EB to pick up Resident Evil! Of course I needed a memory card so I went and picked one of those up too. I got home played for 5 minutes then went back out to find that PSX2 controller adapter. :P SO I started playing again, died, and I was like, "maybe I should put in that memory card." Looked in the bag it wasn't there, so I called up EB abd they said "oops my bad forgot to put it in the bag!" SO I had to run all the way back to EB to get my memoery card(took 45 minutes). So now I'm sitting here playing Resident Evil, and dying hopelessly to zombies because I can't find ammo! BTW........I LOVE THIS GAME! MHAHAHA!</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>After approx 3 non-stop hours of playing, this game is downright evil(poor pun, sue me!), any tips would definately be appriciated. :)</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>After logging MANY hours with both controllers, what the hell is the dif? I find them to be almost exactly the same, just the stick is in a different place and there's grooves to rest your fingers in the 'Cube controller</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>Screw you up the ass with a giant dildo. I beat the game as Jill already. Chris's game doesn't have a gernade launcher.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>The Gamecube D-Pad is worthless, particularly to someone with large hands like myself. The end of my thumb is bigger than the entire directional pad, for heaven's sake.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "comic sans MS"; text-align: left; '>For Resident Evil - the D-pad is a necessity. A lot of gamers still prefer the d-pad for 2D fighting games(even thought he arcade used a stick).</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I prefer the Analog stick for every game too, then again I've spent the last 5-6 years focusing mainly on controllers that have utilized newer technology =)</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>Analog stick isn't always the best. It's next to impossible to play 2D fighters like Marvel vs. Capcom with one.</div>
I finally played a game with the GameCube, and I came to the following conclusions with the controller...

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>The controller is actually better than the N64. It's not bulky, the THUMBPAD is now a THUMBPAD, and the D-pad is in the right place. However, the buttons are STOOOPID! It looks like somebody try to "innovate" way too far. I have one main button and a couple of "L/R" buttons, for lack of a better word. They took a good idea for a controller and fucked it up again. What a shame...</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>Yeah, but it's a JOYstick. You don't have the control with a thumbpad (or a D-Pad for that matter). I really need to get a joystick for my fighting games.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "arial narrow"; text-align: left; padding: 0% 5% 0% 5%; '>As somebody who has played the shit out of the series, I have had no problems with the controls since RE1. For a game with constantly switching camera angles, I see no other workable control scheme. The one thing they SHOULD to put in future games is the dodge feature from RE3.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Right from the first one, I despised the controls. But that doesn't really matter with survival horror games. It's ALL about the atmosphere and story, not to mention the cool-ass bosses and backgrounds</div>
