<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Set the 'Cube overnight to get Mewtwo, so of course, that means I got Mr. Game and Watch as well, who has to be one of the neatest characters ever in a fighting game. Damn is he powerful too. Love that level of his, so retro, reminds me of one of the first gaming experience I ever had with a Donkey Kong 2 Game and Watch.....anyways, so I finally got to unlock All-Star Mode and the final events. Dear LORD, Events 49-51 are HAAARD! Took me like 6 hours or so to beat those ones. I mean, they were just ridiculous. Event 49 where you have to beat the 6 guys in a row is insane. All the guys are level 9 AI and man, are they irritating, Falco and Roy being the worst bastard of all. Then, once you get past that one, you get to fight the two hands in Event 50. It's not TOO shabby......until they do a combo that's basically undodgeable, which happens at least 3 - 4 times a fight. Man that makes it irritating as hell! Then you get the most irritating of all, Event 51. Yeah, this is a fair one. You get to fight Giga Bowser (brute force), Mewtwo (distance attack) and Gannondorf (in close-knockout punch)...and you have to beat them 3 times each. Sure you get 3 men, but man, this one ain't easy and they got you covered regardless of what you try to do. At the end of the day, I had to use Jigglypuff with her homerun hit (Down+B when you're on top of the enemy while in the air) to knock out Giga Bowser (with my first life :-) then wait out Gannondorf (he's a FUCK!) and Mewtwo, floating around the stage, waiting for items to help me out. Took out Gannondorf then CRUSHED Mewtwo. The game is SOO much deeper in both the system and gameplay modes than the first, it's great.
Got to test out a few more PS2 games. First was Sky Odyssey, which seems like a fun enough waste of time, one that can be had for $20 Cdn. Nothing special but pretty neat. Also got to play the first 20 minutes of FFX. Now there's a game that DESTROYS all else I've seen on the PS2 in a graphical sense. This game looks DAMN good. Didn't get enough into it for more than that, so I can't speculate on the story or battle system. But from what I've seen so far, on a graphical level, it's up their with nearly anything on the 'Box and 'Cube, not something I can say about many PS2 games. I really wanna see what they can do with that Emotion Engine once they get used to it. Borrowed a full copy of MGS2 but haven't had a chance to try it yet.
And GTA3 just gets better and better the more I get into it. Found out about the ramps and my bud showed me the all guns code. Wow. That game is so ambitious and so in-depth with a city that is so damned dynamic. It's WAY better than I could have possibly imagined it to be. Hell, we brushed it off at E3 2001 as just another game trying to capitalize on the whole "adult" demand on games, with no real substance. Dear lord was I wrong. One of the best games I've played in a long time. Just amazed me more the more I play it.</div>
