<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Heh...alright.

When you start it up, you'll have to fill in some quick info (fake user name, fake e-mail addy, NICKNAME1 and NICKNAME2.

Under "File", "Options", "Connect"....the second pull-down-box (beneath "IRC Network ALL") is where you choose your server. Each server hosts it's own bunch of channels... for our purposes, we will choose EFNET because it is fast and easy to connect to.

Once you pick it, click the "Coneect to IRC Server button" (this can also be done at the main screen with the little 'lightning-like' button).

Assuming it connects OK (which it should), you can either click the third button in from the left (looks like a folder with "#+" symbols inside) and type TOWS or simply type (in the little bar at the bottom) /JOIN TOWS.

You'll enter a channel with my bot, Pulp. If I'm not there...just stick around (leave yourself in the channel...if I get back and you are not around, I can still send you messages with info you can read when you get back)...

In this channel I'll teach you the commands for FSERVE and XDCC bots which you can try out on me...then I'll give you some good pub channel lists...and if you want, you can d/l Warcraft or whatever...</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>You mean on IRC? Your PC is in greater danger just being connected to the net...(this point would be more dramatic if your PC was Online right now and I could probe the ports, but it isn't ; ).

Basically, the ONLY ways to get a virus on IRC would be:

- Not having a firewall/Anti-virus

- Opening something that someone you don't know sent you (like happy.vbs ; ). Though files with these malicious extensions are auto blocked with the software I had people download.

- Believing and following instructions when some loser sends you the message: "You have been infected with a trojan virus. Please go to www.angelfire.com/anti-trojan/trojan-cleaner.exe

- Actually believeing (and typing) when someone sends you the message: "To stop spam, type: //DECODE ---->various mirc code here<-----

3 ways which require you to be very gullible...no, IRC is extremely low threat.

KO-
"And no...why buy it? I don't really even want it... If I bought every game/app/movie on my machine, I'd be broke. Besides, it's fun having everything early..."</div>

I'm just saying i've never seen more illegal stuff and dishonest people then the ones on file sharing programs...

<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>... of course you're to be trusted but things like this sketch me out. I'd prefer to not DL the neccessary programs and not put myself in a situation to possibly get my machine f'ed with.

As for being broke, you cant possibly tell me you have so many illegal copies of programs that you wouldnt have been able to buy them? That would be a lot, or you'd have to be really poor, and a guy as smart as you sound shouldnt be poor. Yeah, you probably have the $300 or so versions of stupid stuff like photoshops and video editors that i'm sure you never use and you could have lived without. I'll admit that i listen to mp3's that are probably illegal and mr. person showed me how to get a illegal beta copy of war3 that worked fine (which is where i get my opinions) and maybe i did my share of petty (<$20 items) shop lifting as a kid. But I always had the intention of buying war 3 and you have to give game creators their due and just buy it IMO.</div>

You know, you ended up being the only one I graduated from Kazza-Ass-Lint to IRC-newbie-bitch...Gman and Eric didn't show.

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I have no intention of buying Warcraft 3...nor would I if I didn't have it already...so for me, it gets grouped with the other "useless" software (which if you added up, would easily be more like $50,000+). The things I do actually need (web dev tools and stuff) I can't/won't pay for...there is no way I am going to pay thousands of dollars for something I can get for free...moral or not.

And as for having your machine f'ed with...like I said...you are in greater danger just being connected to the net...

Oh well, to each their own.</div>
