<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>I am in the 4th chapter now. My team consist of this.

Ramza = Lancer
a ninja with monk skills, i have it so the ninja uses the martial arts ability so its basically a monk with the ability to punch twice
another ninja with samuri skills (is it better to have the ninja duel wield samuri swords, or have the samuri duel wield)
Black mage with calculator skills
and Agarias Holy Knight (not sure what skills i should get also)

Okay so any good ideas for a better team.....?</div>

Nijia class probably the best

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>They have high speed and decent HP, and high growth rate and can equip light armor which is better than heavy armor toward the end of the game (Flash Hat). Most mixes in Tactics work. If you have someone with Math it's pretty hard to lose anyway.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Yeah, I think the most powerful and easiest party to use are a bunch of Ninja Monks, though sometimes it's beneficial to have Mages of some sort.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>SO does that mean its also a good idea to make Ramza a Ninja... What class is a good idea for Ramza really *scratches head*</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "arial narrow"; text-align: left; padding: 0% 5% 0% 5%; '>I usually ended up making him a monk with armor, or at least some other class with monk skills (counter attack, hamedo).</div>

I don't think it matters what class any particular member of your party is.

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>What matters is the composition of your party. I prefer a balance of physical attackers (ussualy one dragoon and then one or two from the ninja, samurai and knight classes), black mages, priests and summoners. Sometimes I won't have a black mage and early on, a chemist does most of the healing.

I mainly have this party makeup because I just like the character classes. I think Samurais are cool. I think Summoners are cool. And I'm far too used to using cure and life spells to go without a priest.

This, I think, is one of the reasons FFT is such a damned good game: you have so much freedom in deciding how you're going to play the game, and the system is built in such a way that many different ways work. Don't think geomancers are a fun class to use? Then don't.

Personally, I lean towards the weapon-wielding classes (knights, ninjas, samurais, dragoons) for Ramza, usually a sword-wielder. I don't have any real reason beyond I like main characters who have swords. While I've never done it, Ramza could probably function as a priest or a summoner.</div>

I always used a calculator and a dragoon as staples in any party.  I've won a couple last minute fights due to the fact that the dragoon cant get hit while he is jumping

<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>And if remember correctly, by the fouth chapter the special characters were the only ones that mattered, everyone else sucked in comparison. Well, except for the calculator, the man has the power.</div>

I usually have someone with math far away from battle and it doesn't matter who everyone else

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>The only reason I don't like the dragoon is because the turn prediction list does not list his fucking landing spot! It only says "01: Jump". Duh!</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Assuming equal speed, if you jump before he has CT > 50 you'll beat him. Different speed gets more confusing.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt Arial; text-align: left; '>No matter how many times I try to do something different, I always end up with two godly Ninja Dragoons, Ramza being one of them. With those two in my party, who needs Orlandu?</div>

<div style='font: bold 10pt ; text-align: left; '>Ramza and 2 others as monks with dual wield (2 punches). Then a Time mage with math, and orlandu. Im sorry, but thats a shit kicking party. Maybe replace orlandu with a quicker character, like another monk :)</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>okay, first take the disc. then throw it in the garbage can. if it doesn't snap in half on its own stomp on it until fragments are left, then stomp on and burn the fragments. then burn the stuff that was left over when you burned the fragments, then burn whatever's left.</div>

I always liked Ramza as a Lancer...

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Gave him a little extra movement and allowed him to jump up high. Plus the extra range of the lance. Plus the jump ability is very useful if you can learn to time it right.

Calculators are VERY useful, just make sure to get as many options with him as you can. Early on, they aren't too useful because you can only hit characters with levels a multiple of two, or whatever. But once you get more options, his potential increases exponentially because you can often times hit almost every enemy with one spell, if not all of them.

Summoners are good too simply because summons are pretty powerful and have good area, but then that's the standard for summons, so not much needs to be said here.</div>
