So is anybody else psyched about the new Shinobi for the PS2?

<div style='font: ; text-align: left; '>Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi III are two of my all-time favorite games, and went a long ways towards making me feel good that I owned a Genesis instead of an SNES back in the 90's.</div>

Genesis always had the better of the multi-platform games....

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Mortal Kombat, Shadowrun, Might & Magic, Battletoads etc.
Plus, imo, there were better exclusives:
Rings of Power, Phantasy Stars, Shining in the Darkness/Shining Forces, D&D Eternal, Comix, Chakan, Double Dragon, Haunting, TJ&E, Moonwalker, Shinobi, Sonic, Streets of Rage, Strider, Eternal Champs, basically every EA game, Warsong's (shit, just remembered these!!) and too many others to list.
I owned both...but with the exception of Final Fantasy 2 (the best!) and 3, the Genesis was the better system (plus, it was backwards compatible[years before the PS2]...I still have the addon somewhere...)</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "arial narrow"; text-align: left; padding: 0% 5% 0% 5%; '>BLAST PROCESSING.</div>
My understanding is that MKII was better on the SNES.

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>For the exclusives, I would have liked to have played the Phantasy Star series, Shining Force, Strider and Chakan. And the Sonic games.
But man, there were just so many games for the SNES that just defined the 16-bit era in my mind.</div>
From one Genesis only owner to another....

<div style='font: 9pt Garamond; text-align: left; '>...I am very psyched. Revenge of Shinobi is still one of my all-time favorites. The new game, while not very reminiscent of past titles, looks very cool and I've always had faith in Sega to deliver the gameplay. I'm very glad they're focusing more on action than on exploration. It wouldn't be a Shinobi game is they slowed it down or had you wandering forests or buildings aimlessly. And that residual blur effect to confuse enemies...I'm dying to try that out...Sega rules...</div>

<div style='font: 9pt Garamond; text-align: left; '>Nah, emulation took care of that eventually...and the 16 bit wars would have been dull without guys like us content with our Sonics, Shining Forces and Phantasy Stars....</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>For me it was all about Genesis until I played the Gem that was Final Fantasy III, I owned both consoles but I had Genesis first.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I'll just note to fans that own a GBA, there's a Shinobi coming out for that very soon as well.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt "Times New Roman"; text-align: left; '>It was. MK 1 for the SNES didn't have blood and that sucked</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>MK II was amazingly perfect for it's time from an Arcade to Home conversion. I liked the original MK as well but the SNES's was butchered and censored to hell.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>For people who have never played Rings of Power for the Gen...they really should find the ROM. Too bad Naughty Dog doesn't still make RPGs....</div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I still remember the Blast Processing commercial comparing Mario Kart to some F-1 racing game. The sad thing is that people actually took that commerical seriously, I bet.</div>
