<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I, for one, hope this means that square will use this phenomanally talented team to work on a new FF tactics for either the Cube or Ps2. On the other hand, I'm a little worried that there is even less competition for square in the tactical rpg arena.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Square is desperate to have a steady franchise other than FF (remember, Chrono Cross sold decently in Japan, about 1/3 of what it sold here). I think it'll be good 'cause they need to keep Ogre Battle going. Besides, they worked with them on FFT, so there's some familiarity</div>

Kingdom Hearts is their next franchise

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Don't really see anything else making a big splash... maybe Unlimited Saga, but doubtful.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt Garamond; text-align: left; '>I honestly thought they already had back when FFTactics came out...but hey, if it means more spotlight for the Ogre Battle series and a FFTactics 2 down the road, I'd say it's a good thing. I'd rather these talents be swallowed up than cease to exist in what has become a very expensive business.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Yeah, they did work on FFT, but were still independent at that point.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I am betting that they'll probably look at GBA as the platform for the next FFT game.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Things like Saga and Mana are OK franchises, but they don't really bring in the bacon like FF. And I agree with Kupek, I doubt it'll be too much of a franchise, unless the game does amazingly well worldwide. Remember, they have to deal with Disney here</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>they are porting the original FFT to GBA.</div>

i don't think there will be a FFT2 ...

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>a lot of Japanese gamers hate FFT, they think it's too much of a rip-off of Tactics Ogre.

now that Square has the OB series, i think all their tactical RPGs will probably come out of there. though there's also Front Mission, but that's futuristic. only 3 of 8 episodes has been released for the OB saga so there's plenty they can do with it, and there's an endless number of gaiden games they can make off the OB characters.</div>

The game's setup to have a sequel

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>They can spin at least two games off based on the 2 endings in the game.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>The biggest draw for the game is the novelty of it. I don't think that can sustain a series.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>It's like the 3rd best selling game this year in Japan</div>

This isn't supposed to be Cloud and Sora team up versus Sephiroth and Jafar...

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>This isn't some cheesy DBZ crossover where people are buying it to see their favorite characters. FF characters make cameo appearance but that's pretty much it, cameos. The story more or less revolves around the Disney side (since Sora, Kairi, and Riku belongs to Disney).</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>That was never my point. The novelty I spoke of was seeing extremely well done representations of familiar Disney characters. I see that novelty wearing off; I don't see it supporting a series.</div>

I don't know if I agree...
