It's a big announcement which could mean absolutely nothing in the long run. A paradox? THE USERS OF THE SHRINE SPEAK OUT!</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Why the hell weren't IGN and Gamespot all over this? WAAAY too big news for Gamepro to be the only one to get it</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Gamepro has the exclusive scoop in regards to Famitsu translations. This is probably the only English rendition I can find of the story right now.</div>

Here is the Nikkei link. Best to just read the Gamepro translation.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Okay, looks legit, even though I can't read it all, 'Square - Enix" company name sure sounds like a merge.</div>

Confirmation from Magicbox. I at least trust that guy (look inside)

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>From MagicBox:

- Square and Enix announced they will be merging into a new company called Square Enix in Japan
on April 1, 2003. Both Square and Enix are the top RPG makers in Japan, with the Final Fantasy
and Dragon Quest series on hand, Square Enix would become the biggest RPG developer. The
purpose of the amalgamation is to use the centripetal force to the creator and the content property to
maximize and reinforce the earnings base. In the amalgamation ratio, Square is 0.81 and Enix is 1.0,
therefore Square will become the dissolution company while Enix will take charge of Square Enix.
The new chairman for Square Enix is Keiji Honda, the president and representative director of Enix;
and Square's Wada Youichi will become the vice president of the company</div>

I'd rather trust cv&g and spong.com than Magic Box. Best Japanese - English site I've seen so far is tokyopia.com, even though they don't deal with news at all.

If you want quick up to date news just head to ga.gamesquad.net. That's where the majority of sites go to get news updates - even IGN and gamespot. Heck, Matt,Peer, and Fran are occasional posters. The Gamespot dude is just annoying. Actually, if you know Japanese or can understand the Engrish which is spit out by babelfish just go to Quiter. Gamefront's another good site to head to, but it's also another thing you need to babelfish(German) - http://www.gamefront.de/. Besides Magic Box fucked up, the Square guy( Wada Youchi isn't the name, think it's Yoichi Wada) is going to be the president, not vice-president. They also to neglect to mention the whole 'overseas' market bit of the announcement.</div>

Gamepro's gotten better ever since they got a new translator, I would say they are better than Magic Box, but that's not saying much(I have a low opinion of magic-box). Best Japanese - English site I've seen so far is tokyopia.com, even though they don't

Some sites to avoid would be spong.com and C&VG, you can count on them to always be wrong.</div>
