<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Food for thought: Nintendo was supposed to make some incredibly major announcement next month. Related or not?</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>From the sound of it, Enix is acquiring Square, not the other way around.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>That news has been all over the place, "Nintendo's super ultra huge Megaton explosion of an announcement". they talk about it in the IGN forums about every 5 minutes though no one has any clue as to what it might be.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I always thought ENIX was quite a bit larger than Square? Is Cyrix larger than Intel (I don't know a lot about PC companies)</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>According to the Reuters article,0.8 shares of Square for every 1.0 share of Enix. I've heard conflicting reports of who is heading the merged company, though, a Square guy or an Enix guy.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>So find a source that says that Square is taking a majority interest in Enix. Unless you're just making ignorant assumptions...</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>What the hell else COULD Nintendo announce? They've got the GBA adapter, they've got Zelda coming with the 64 versions, they've got Capcom exclusives.
The only other viable thing I've heard that it could be would be of this supposed magnitude would be Pokemon Online. That would be big.
But think of what would happen if Nintendo had some sort of heads-up on the merger and had agreed to some sort of exclusives with Square Enix. Their value in Japan would absolutely skyrocket - especially if it was, say, sole rights to Dragon Quest 8.
The rumor has it that Nintendo will have a major announcement - but that could be aimed more at one market over the other.
I dunno. We'll have to wait and see, but it'll be very interesting to see things shake out...</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Most people are betting on Dragon Quest 8. I say no way, I'm gonna go with Pokemon Online too. Nintendo also has a Konami announcement coming eventually. At least that's what some videogame journalists say.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>It will be more with the Japanese market I tbelieve, especially in light of Nintendo recently stating that it's the most important market for them.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I don't think there will be a Pokemon Online, the market for online titles is fairly tiny, even with names like Final Fantasy, Phantasy Star, and others taking advantage of it. That's just my thoughts though.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Almost for sure a Japan announcement, but considering they're not exactly tearing it up here in the US (Prime only debuted at #3), it might be something bigger. But I'm guessing a deal with this new company, maybe DQ8 exclusive</div>
