<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>dont the thieves become blackbelts after the rat tail quest? Or maybe its ninjas.... you should swap out a blackbelt for a fighter so you can use the excalibur, wasted other wise. I assume its masamune for the thief? can he use it?</div>
Everyone can use the Masamune, thieves become Ninja's, Blackbelts become Grand Masters. Actually, I changed my mind here, I will make a Shrine comic out of this by taking snapshots and adding dialogue.....

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I'll need someone who has a website for posting them, and I'll just E-mail the pic's, I am no good at setting up websites myself, but I will learn if I have to.
So I need three other people who are interested, and I'll start the game sometime tommorow.</div>
Oh yeah, the Character class's to choose from and what they become are as follows.....

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Alright, I have my party. Eric the Fighter, Orcl (Oracle) the Blackbelt, Seek (Seeker) the Thief, and Don the Black Mage. I will change them if anyone has any problems, but lets see how this works out =)</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Thanks dude, I'll keep that in mind. I played a couple hours of the game, found an awesome place to level up (thanks to a tip from someone in Utopia) with Zombulls, Tyro's, Giants, Fr Wolves, etc... It's right by the second town too. Already have 20K gc and level 10 characters =)</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Wow, I'm already through the whole first section of the game, and it only took me a bit more 2 hours. I found an awesome place to level up, got my characters to level 12 in about 30-40 minutes. Also have 10's of thousands of gold pieces, passed Marsh Cave, killed Astos, etc....</div>

<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>I think you'll have a tough time some where around Tiamat where you probably cant use/afford the good spells and the monsters are relatively hard.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Hey, just to give you guys a heads up - all this FFI talk reminded me that I never reposted my story in Creations. Well, now that's fixed - a link is there if anybody wants to read it.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Well I did it with 4 White Mages, Black Mages get somewhat better weapons and selling off all the Weapons/Armor they can't use for spells.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Yeah, and if you can finish the game with 4 White Mages, you are an absolute master.</div>
I would appreciate that, I remember reading a good portion of those a few years ago, but that was back when I was misjudging FF1 as the worst FF title =P

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I kind of feel bad about that now. I am seriously having more fun with Final Fantasy than I am with Chrono Trigger. My opinion on the game has changed completely, my opinion now is that Final Fantasy isn't crap, it's ingenious =P
I think I was just too young before and too inexperienced with RPG's to really enjoy it my first time through.</div>
Also, if you are looking for an AWESOME place to level up with Black Mages (probably the best place from between the second town and when you finally leave the continent), get the Fire 2 spell for a few of them and........

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Head east of Provoka through the mountains for a short time. You will see a port to the North, head towards it and pass it and keep heading North until you get to the tip of the long peninsula (about 2 screen's I think) and then just walk back and forth at the very northern peak. You will fight enemies that you won't be fighting until normally after you have defeated Kary. They are weak against Fire magic, Frost Wolves die from one hit from Fir2, all of the others from 2 or 3. The only problem is that these enemies if you don't get them in a turn or two things can become very bad. The rewards are great though, you get as much gold and experience from one battle as you would from about 20 battles fighting Ogre's and creep's around Elf village. Still, it will be absolutely impossible to defeat these enemies without fir2 spell, so fight Ogres and stuff until you have enough money to get the spell for a few of your Black mages, also stock up on tents, they'll come in very handy. VERY handy. If you are playing by emulator, save state becomes important, if not, just save by using Tents or cabins.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Why thank you. Only hard with the w.mages until they had a few good spells + wp/ar that cast spells.</div>
Now if only I could figure out how you got through Earth Cave with that party.....

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>With a Fighter, Thief, Blackbelt, and Black Mage all at level 12-13 I had to use around 50 heal potions just to get to the Vampire and get the Ruby. Of course I took just about every wrong turn along the way (including this place where I got in 15 battles in a row vs. Giants) and cleared out all the treasure, but still, it was fairly tough. I'm rich now, I have over 50K GC, but I won't make the same mistake again by buying Steel Armor, it's good, but way overpriced for something that's only useful for about a half hour. I had to walk all the way out of Earth Cave too, it's not really that big of a deal, but I do miss having a white mage with Exit spell in my party. For future dungeons I'll use Warp but right now I need my Fir3 spell which is in the same category as Warp.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>It's all about spell selection, you have to remember that cure spells hurt the undead. So 2 of my guys served as traditional healers and the other 2 were offensive. That and taking 99 potions, knowing exactly which way to go, and some huge luck were all involved.</div>

Heh, on my second adventure into Earth Cave, (the first time was to kill the vampire) I made it through much more quickly and easily even though I had further to go....

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Mainly because I knew the direction now and the first time through I took every possible wrong direction. The place is five floors, the Vampire's at the end of the third, but the fourth and the fifth floor are much easier to find your way through. Anyways, I thought there was some sort of war out of the place, but if there was I couldn't find it, I ended up walking all the way back.</div>
