<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Hmmm, you're one of the few who actually liked the gameplay. Most that I've heard hated it. But then again, most loved FF7. I might try playing it after FF9, which is an excellent RPG so far (first 2 hours)</div>

Well, the first time I pl;ayed, I hated, I neglected to read about Levels and draw effectiveness, and I never converted items. The second time I spent maybe 10 minutes total drawing/leveling up...

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>A lot of the people who played the game didn't understand the gameplay in full. The game seamed really slow the first time I played, the second time I played it seamed very well paced, I used to rank it as the second worst Final Fantasy game (just above 1); but of course my opinion has changed drastically once I examined and researched before playing the game, Final Fantasy 1 does require research as does 8. My finish time the first time was 46 hours (and I didn't even finish it), the second time it was 33 hours and I did finish it, and the second time I payed a lot more attention to the details in the plot. The plot is the best of any Squaresoft game. Final Fantasy 8 also now has my favorite characters of any RPG aside from Skies of Arcadia. The character development of certain characters is quite brilliant, whoever wrote the script obviously had experience with this sort of thing. It is rare that a game effects my emotions, and Final Fantasy 8 did just that.

Final Fantasy 7 is one of those games that appeals to the lowest common demominator, however it's far too simple and mindless for me to enjoy. I just recently played it (and finished it for the first time), I definetly don't like that game.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I liked it; it just requires a little more specific effort and thought to make yourself uber. Then again, being able to repeatedly switch chars to trigger more limit breaks is freaking ridiculous, especially with a high powered Squall or Zell.</div>
