<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>But if you're like me, you'll still find it interesting - perhaps more interesting than videogame news sites. There's a free registration, but seriously, I think it's worth it.

Two things they currently have I found extremely interesting. One is a talk by Jason Rubin from Naughty Dog, given at the Game Developers Conference 2003, title <a href=http://www.gamasutra.com/features/20030 ... html>Great Game Graphics... Who Cares?</a>. They have a realvideo of it. They also have the power point slides he used, so you can go along while watching the video - which is an hour, but trust me, it's interesting.

His premise is simple. His company (Naughty Dog) has a formula for making games: make better graphics than their competitors, and make it fun. Notice that does not include innovation. So for a long time, added console power has enabled much better graphics, and that has often added gameplay. He points out that at this point, adding graphical power - which we surely can do - won't add gameplay. It's an interesting perspective from someone who knows what he talks about.

They also have a video of <a href=http://www.gamasutra.com/features/20030 ... moto</a>'s speech from the 1999 GDC.

There are a bunch of articles about different aspects of game development, but I find the post-mortem's most interesting.</div>
