Specs of the PSP revealed. I must say, damn! I haven't been looking forward to a system this much since the Sega Genesis back 15 years ago or so...

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>My comments: If they can pull this off with a good 12-20 battery hour period, I'd surely shell out up to 400 bucks for this thing. I tend to talk more about console games, but I really put in about 3 or 4 times as much time on handheld systems than I ever did on console. The games are simpler for the most part, but seem to be more addictive. When you have a system this powerful on your hands there is the possibility for some pretty nice looking games. I'd like to see ports of games like Final Fantasy 8, Vagrant Story, Xenogears, and other titles to the handheld, first of all. The only problem with the system may be the RAM, there is such a small amount that I don't see how it can take advantage of all that power.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Damn, if that thing comes out a 'reasonable' price it could really shake up the handheld market.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>Yeah, I don't get the RAM, either. Good RAM is really cheap, so they could at least chip in for 32MBs or so.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I'm guessing there's a reason for only the 2MB. Expandable memory? How much does the SP have?</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>It wouldn't surprise me. They're losing money per playstation 2 sold, and make it back on the software. My question is do they think they can dominate the hand held market like that?</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I don't think it will take over the market share lead from Nintendo, but I would like to see it grab a significant chunk. Just for Competitions sake, plus it will play music, movies etc.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "Fine Hand"; text-align: left; '>Sony has been making a profit on the PS2 hardware for quite a long time. Nearly two years.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>They'll never be making money on the hardware by itself, but they (SCE) are turning a profit due to their royalties on software and such.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "Fine Hand"; text-align: left; '>You're incorrect. Sony made an official announcement two years ago that they were.</div>
