Few people care but after spending quite a few hours with Ninja Gaiden...

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Holy crap that's a good game!

First it's gorgeous. Probably the best looking game I've ever played. Second, it is bloody hard. I almost forgot how spoiled I am with most games today...it's been so long since I've thrown my controller across the room in happy frustration after a lost boss battle. And this is on 'normal' difficulty. Lastly, it is a deep game with loads of extras. NG is a lot deeper than I expected...and I think that is why some people have difficulty getting in to NG (like zeus...but Tenchu? wth?).

People pick up this game expecting what they've been getting for the last few years, a simple hack n slash ninja game of sorts. They don't immediately understand that Ryu has a huge arsenal of moves and counters at his disposal (you gain more as the game progresses) and you HAVE to use them. Couple that with a camera system that, while it works nicely, takes some practice...and you have a game that'll fail to fully suck you in till the 3rd stage.

Don't just play a demo of this game or the first stage...rent an Xbox if need be and try it out. I can't recommend it enough.

Also, Wrath: Unleashed....reminded me of Brigadine with less RPGish-ness and fighting. I like it, but rent it first...appeals to a select group and not for everyone.</div>

Seems to relate to a lot of people's experiences with Vagrant Story...

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>It's one of those games that doesn't appeal to the masses because of the difficulty and complexity, but for the select people that DO like it, it ends up being one of the best games out there. Sure, you have a high learning curve, but you'll appreciate the amount of options you have when you learn them all.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>Me too, it stinks... 90% of X-box games come out on PS2 and vice-versa, but of course NG is one of the few.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I only played the first two levels, and it was just a hack-and-slash. But I've heard it gets MUCH better, so I'm reserving my final judgement. But the first two levels are just "meh"</div>
