<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Alright, I finally figured out what you were getting at with this post. And you're wrong. I can't see how you'd have enough information to even make an outrageous claim such as that. You've only seen a total of 8 of the characters. You've maybe seen 10 percent of the game!</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Haha. Yeah, I figured that was probably confusing as hell. It might be a fun game, but it is nowhere NEAR the technical prowess of fighter series such as Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Soul Calibre, Marvel vs. Capcom (or SNK vs. Capcom). Sure, it probably beats out Mortal Kombat, but that doesn't take much.</div>
Speaking of VF, I have just recently introduced myself to the series with VF4: Evo...

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Is it just me, or is this quite possibly the most technical fighting engine ever created? I mean, I can handle the basic stuff pretty well, but these evade three step throw evade counter air juggle seven hit combo with a smashing attack to hurt the opponents recovery so you can follow with a wall juggle to do another seventy points of damage is a bit much.
I mean, I'd like to get out of a throw, but I just eat them because I can't input P+G F,P+G DF,P+G and D,P+G within the two frames they give you to do it.
And Akira, I mean, goddamn man, some of his moves have you pressing three opposite directions before even slapping the punch button.
Again, this game is cool and all, but some of the stuff they put in there seems fucking ridiculous.
BTW, it doesn't help when I watch the CPU do this shit all the time because it's a fucking computer and doesn't have to deal with a goddamn computer. I swear this game will give me Tourette's.
Bitch-fuck-ass-cunt-shit.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>VF is a very expert fighting game. Koreans can eat it up. Akira is among the hardest characters (the SPoD, for starters), but doing Kage's Ten-Foot Toss combos is no picnic, either. BTW, you can put the button combos (PG, PKG) to seperate buttons on the console versions.</div>

Not nearly as repetetive as Mortal Kombat. (And comparing Street Fighter 2 to Mortal Kombat is like comparing Final Fantasy 1 with Breath of Fire 3.)

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>MvC2 is very advanced, for example, and can be hard to negotiate tactics when you controlling your main and support characters. If you brought your support character when your opponent isn't open, he can blast with a super. Sure, you can block it, but the support character can't and takes major damage. Not to mention the wide variety of advanced level moves and strategies that weren't really meant to be in the game.
There are some really fucking amazing combos in the game. <a href="

Well, to be honest, I wasn't a fan of either series, but I did play a lot of Mortal Kombat 2 back when I was a kid. I always found it to be more fun than Street Fighter games.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Nowadays Capcom Fighters are all button mashers, and it seems to be the bigger the move the better. Soul Calibur on the other hand I found to be about 1000 times more strategic, it's the only fighting game that I can think of right now where good players will absolutely squash others. Whereas I just picked up Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and beat a hardcore Capcom fighter fan 9 times out of 10 just by button mashing.
Which game series is better? I obviously am quite strong on the opinion that Mortal Kombat was the better series, it was also a much more ground breaking series.
From a popularity standpoint, if you look back at the sales of Mortal Kombat games across the consoles, they have always sold millions of copies each; they were among the best selling games of the 16-bit console generation. Street Fighter games generally were lucky to pass the 500K mark (and only the first one did it). Of course this is in North America, in Japan the situation was quite reversed (obviously because the game was made in Japan). Mortal Kombat remained the most popular fighting game series in North America (aside from a brief stint in the the mid 90's with Killer Instinct) until Namco took the crown with Tekken 3. For me, it was Soul Calibur that was the first real fighting game I can actually say I really loved playing. it didn't have the best sales (it was pirated to hell and back), but it did have the best reviews.</div>
So... you managed to not play SFII for any significant amount of time AND make a completely accurate judgement about the game's quality? I stand in awe of your genius.

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>After all, to brilliant minds like yours, watching over someone's shoulder for a few seconds is ample enough to not only make a fully informed opinion of a game, but also probably enough time to discover the Grand Unified Theory of Physics thereby linking together the disciplines of General Physics and Quantum Mechanics AND applying the teleportation of atoms to people sized objects.
Again, I stand in sheer awe of your brilliance, oh mighty one.</div>
So now you're saying that unless one plays Street Fighter 2 all day long on single player mode their opinion of the game is irrelivent? No real offense intended, but people like you really need to get a life.
