  • A very interesting turn of events. Baten Kaitos and Xenosaga to Nintendo DS.

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

My own thoughts are that this could be quite an interesting turn of events because RPG gameplay complexity can be expanded further than ever before with the touchpad due to the relative ease for certain types of gameplay which would have been relatively difficult or annoying using just a control pad. For example, RPG's often have an encyclopedia included, Xenosaga is an example, it will be MUCH more easy to navigate it now. Graphically the games won't match their Gamecube/PS2 counterparts, but gameplaywise they will be superior and likely more fun to play.

With the Xenosaga series on DS, the possibility of Namco moving there exclusively is present. This means that the series could be finished up in the next 4-7 years instead of the next 30-50 years (at the pace they're going at, halfway through Perfect Works Episode 1 of 6; Xenosaga Episode 1, 2, and 3 are all chapters of episode 1 of Perfect Works).</div>
