<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>Trailer 002 is the standard E3 one. Trailler 003 is in Japanese, but it's 4 minutes long with a bunch of new material. Damn, I can't wait! I wish they would play this in theaters.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "arial narrow"; text-align: left; padding: 0% 5% 0% 5%; '>Can't fuckin' wait. I have a lot of good memories playing FF7... I don't enjoy playing it anymore, but I'm still excited about the movie, especially if there's a gnarley fight scene with One-Winged Angel playing in the background.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Well, I would too, but then again, I was also willing to pay for a ticket to see FF: The Spirits Within and I'm sure you were too, so we're not exactly the voice of the majority of moviegoers : )</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>Despite the lackluster storyline, the animation was still worth the price. Given the success of FF7, if there was a little bit of advertisement about the movie in the mainstream, people would flock to it.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>No, they wouldn't. Like Torgo pointed out, the Final Fantasy movie flopped despite having a lot of marketing muscle behind it. I doubt most people will perk up at the mention of a 60 minute sequel to a seven year-old RPG.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>I guess the time thing would hit a lot of people, but the age of FF7 makes no difference. Also, the reason why the first FF movie flopped was word-of-mouth that it sucked. Along as this one doesn't suck, it won't suffer the same fate.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>A couple million people bought FF VII in the U.S., right? Assuming that each and every one is a die-hard fan willing to see Advent Children--and that's a big whomping assumption to make--that's still only a fraction of the American moviegoing public.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>It did better than Titan AE, Memento, Iron Giant, Dark City, Gattaca, Jason X, Impostor, 13th Floor. Legally Blonde beat out movies like Fifth Element, Star Trek: Insurrection, Stargate, 12 Monkeys, Alien: Resurrection, Galaxy Quest, K-PAX, The One, Pitch Black (and Riddick), and Mission to Mars.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>Yes, and you could declare Alexander a financial success by comparing its gross to Gigli. Changing standards doesn't escape the basic point that the Final Fantasy movie not only performed poorly but also nearly left Square in financial ruin.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt Arial; text-align: left; '>I compared the two because they were released in the same week. Granted, box office numbers aren't a good indicator of a movie's quality, my point was that all that hype about the realistic visuals, celebrity voices and the Final Fantasy label did squat for ticket sales.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>Well if the plot had been at all decent or made sense I'm sure it would have done better lol.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>That has to do with Cost - Sales, not box office figures alone. Despite a great return on Waterworld, it broke the bank because of cost. My main point is that it preformed poorly partial because nobody likes sci-fi movies. They want a stupid blonde bitch pretending to be a lawyer.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>A film's production budget and marketing costs set the standard for what constitutes a successful box office, a bar which Final Fantasy failed rather miserably. And the reason it performed poorly was because nobody likes *lousy* sci-fi movies.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>It doesn't matter how lousy it is. A good portion of those movies are good quality movies.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>And that's exactly my point. People don't watch sci-fi movies, period. Lousy or otherwise. Even after the days of constant cowboy TV shows, we still don't get the point.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>People will watch good scifi. And most of what we call "scifi" isn't based on science, either. It's just a fantasy movie set in the future.</div>
