Console version is fun (very much like Metal Slug), but you can definetely tell it needed some polish. In one of the first levels, you're on vehicles and have to constantly jump off of them as they get destroyed, but it's next to impossible to tell what's going on and where the bullets are coming from 'cause so much is going on. Also, you get to the point on some levels where you're just fighting the same guy over and over again and they're endless. Only occasionally do you fight a mini-boss or a different type of guy. Just gets a little repetitive here and there.

On the other side, the variety is pretty cool (the ship levels are fun), it's got tons of personality, quite gory and fun to look at while playing, and it just plain fun to go through. It's just not as deep as the Metal Slug games, which it obviously takes after.

Game's too fucking hard. Almost like a shootable version of Bart vs. the Space Mutants.

I didnt find it that difficult. Blew through it pretty quick actually. I thought it was a great game all in all. Now I go through the early stages seeing how many style points I can earn ^_^

Oh, whatever. I couldn't even beat the main boss of the first level (the big tank with the lethal punch).

If you are having that much trouble, did you try setting the difficulty down to easy?

Nope. No difficulty setting. I'm playing the Flash version, FYI.

That would be why, I have the GameCube version, and there are 3 difficulty levels.
