Anyways, I've been playing this game for the past few months. Beat the game in like december, but then I screwed around with the epic dungeons for a month or so. I have everything polished off now, except the final task.

Fucking Freya.

So yea, this banshee from Valkyrie Profile, the first time I fought her, wiped me in 3 seconds, I shit you not. Ether Stike (or whatever) right off the bat while I was switching characters. I tend to use cliff when I get to some unfamiliar territory and just use his Cannon special attack.

So yea, fought her like 3 times, the last of which was actually quite productive, and then I pulled stupid shit and my magic user got iced while fayt and cliff got MP killed, I really need to watch that :p

So aside from that, half way through the game I noticed I didnt activate the battle trophy system, which kinda pisses me off since that's how you access the harder difficulties. Is it really worth playing through NORMAL again just to be able to access Galaxy and 4D mode?

Anyways, it's a great game, had a total blast with it. I plan on stocking up on shielding devices and stun bombs for freya, should make the battle go smooth :p

Yeah, you need those freakin no damage protection items for when she unleashes that insane attack. Give you 10 seconds of invulnerablity if I remember right. I came close to smacking her I think, I had Fayt just running around dodging as my item guy. Cliff kept her occupied.

You aren't the only one who forgot to turn battle trophies on... I had no idea you only had the one chance to do so. 4 hours later when I found out, I didn't care so much about going back over what I'd done.

I'm enjoying it immensely, but it's been interupted by Champions of Norrath: RTA at the moment. Ranger, lvl 19 online.

From my experiences with the Star Ocean line, all the optional bosses basically required you to do something so cheesy that completely defeats the point of them being so difficult in the first place.
