Wow, this game is surprisingly good. The setup is a lot like Yoshi's Island , where you have 8 levels you have to beat with a boss at the end. You also have a time/points goal to get the "star" level on each as well. The levels are actually broken up into two mini levels which you have to beat in a row in order to reach your time goal. They're basically one shot mini-levels that are at most two or three screen sizes big that are set up like puzzles. Personally, I'm a big fan of the platformer/puzzle hybrid, and this one is excellent.

The graphics are quite nice as well. Mario is basically the Mario from Mario 64 with a few different moves. Although the levels are 2D all of the character models (enemies included) are 3D. Gives them a little more life. Some of Mario's moves (ie. a walking handstand or his famous running-the-opposite-backflip) just wouldn't look all that good with 2D characters and probably wouldn't be as effective. A very effective change and one that works with this type of platformer quite well.

I highly recommend this title for people who would be interested in a platformer/puzzler, it's better than you think it's going to be
