Well, in short if anyone played the old Maxis Sim Tower, that is essentially what this game is. I don't know any other details. It is strange that they are making this game for the GBASP rather than the DS seeing as how the DS is a far more suitable system for this style of game. If they were making this for the DS, I would pick it up off the shelf with no questions asked. When I was a kid, I used to love this game.

Yeah this does scream for DS capabilitys. What can you do I guess. I loved SimTower as well when I was younger. Still have my copy actually...hmm...*goes to install*

Heh, I actually have two copies of it. The original that I got back when I was a kid, and another one that I got in some 5 disc Sim set that came with that, Sim City 2000, Sim Life, Sim Isle, and the Streets of Sim City.

SimIsle was hard...I never got really good at that one...I will have to get my hands on it and try it again. Do you remember the money cheat for SimTower?

Nope, I didn't even know there was one (well I just failed to look). Sim Isle, I could never get into that game either.

I love sims (just not The Sims). I was a Sim City nut up until 2000. I also branch out to non-Maxis sims, there is a pretty good restaurant one i picked up cheap, and the Evil Genius demo was fun, but i heard the game itself was bland.

I have been playing SimCIty 4 lately. Its actually pretty sweet. A lot of the stuff you can do is pretty badass. You should give it a shot, i think its pretty cheep now.

It's still full price where I am (like 50 bucks or so), but I would settle for Sim City 3000 which is down to $7.99, even though I have heard that 3000 is just a prettier version of 2000. I do not know how 3000 compares to part 4

Wow 4 is like 20 bucks here now. And then 10 bucks for the Rush Hour expansion. The thing I love about 4 is that its not just one city anymore. You basicly get a chunk of a continent to manage, and it is divided into diffrent prefectures. Say you have two neighboring cities you built. One lacks industral area, and the other doesnt have enough Residential. You can build a highway between the provences and people will commute. Also the expansion let you design some REAL downtown areas, letting you put in double wide avenues and elevated rail stations. Its pretty sweet.

There was a good PA comic about going 20 years in the future to get a Playstation 5, but I can't find it.

I know what you are talking about, but that really came out of left field.

Nevermind. I thought you said "WoW 4", as in "World of Warcraft 4".

I think I will go for part 4 then, it sounds like something that I'd really enjoy, a lot more than just a graphically updated Sim City 2000.

Yeah its really sweet. They put a lot of effort into this one. And as you hinted at, the graphics are REALLY updated. I know there is a bundlepack with the expansion out there now, but I am not sure how expensive it is off the top of my head.

That might have been what I was looking at for 50 bucks.

Even then it shouldn't be a full 50 bucks still...*ponders* I know when I was working for Gamestop we were selling it for 40.

It might have been 40 bucks. Though it could have been just the place I was looking as well, Staples I do not think has the best prices on things.
