They're basically the same store anyway. I've never noticed any difference between walking into a GameStop and walking into an EB.
I wonder what this will do to the mall stores. Most malls I've been to have a GameStop and an EB a rock's throw away.

Yeah but I thought EB was the bigger company.

I dont think EB is bigger than GameStop. In the St. Louis area there are FAR more Gamestop stores than EB stores. In fact, until recently EB had almost no presence in the St. Louis area. After all, Gamestop already was formed when Babbages and Software Etc merged, then they bought Funcoland. We will have to see.

I actually heard a rumour about this on Gamespot a few weeks ago. Guess they were right..
I wonder if this means that we'll get the Gamestop brand name over here in Canada now. They might want to create competition for themselves with their own company hoping to capture more of the market, kinda like Best Buy did with themselves and Futureshop

I had heard through the grapevine when I was working at Gamestop that it was possible that it could be happening but that we didnt have any details yet. I didn't expect it to actually happen.

I've never even heard of Gamestop before, but there are EB games all over the place here.

Gamestop is the big EB rival in the US. Imagine Microplay, but good

Heh...I only know of Microplay because of Acts of Gord. I need to visit the great Gord again...
