So, I decided to break my recent WoW addiction with.... another MMO! I'm so smart.
So far there's a lot that I like about it. But I'm not a MMO veteran.
If anyone else is on let me know! I'll be in district 30, name is Quick Ben. Probably lurk near the town crier near the SW gate.

Guild Wars bored me silly in about ten minutes. A lot of Flash games entertain me longer.
Might as well just play Dungeon Siege multiplayer, it's practically the same thing.

I have actually heard of this game. I haven't heard any praise for it though other than some punk teenager on IRC saying "It's an awesome game".

Wow that's a lot of hating.
My roomates and I are enjoying it. Just a little pissed that you can't group in parties of more than two, yes 2!, in the first area at least.
I do like the streamlined skill sets and the fact you can only have 8 active at any time. Is it WoW PvP dumbed down? I don't know, but it's fun for us. We are all new to this type of game and it seems easier to 'get into' than WoW for them.
A nice bonus is that the world is simply gorgeous. It achieves an immersion that is much better than WoW's. I don't like the 'invisible walls' but it's a minor annoyance.

Hahahaha Guild Wars PvP is so much better than WoW's.
As a level 12 Mesmer with my lvl 12 mates who were Mo/El and Nc/W and El/Rg we just owned some lvl 15 guys.
Lvl's mean jack squat, Skill selection and use + Teamwork is everything. Having the best equiptment or sword whatever won't win it for you.
There isn't a 'Perfect' build either, something will always beat what you have, so your team has to back you up. Simply awesome fun.
Derith, I'll add you when I get home. *you have to leave your current Guild first.
