What the hell happened to Space Sims?

Seriously. We've not seen a decent space sim since Freelancer (3 years ago) and I wasn't really impressed with that all too much either. BRING BACK THE WING COMMANDER SERIES!!! I WANT SOME PRIVATEER 2: THE DARKENING UP IN DIS BITCH!!! Hear me Origin/EA/Digital Anvil????
Resurrect my once fucking awesome genre that dominated in the late 90's.

For PCs, it's all about the FPSs, RTSs, and MMORPGs. In consoles, it's all about being "cool" and they're just not cool anymore. Period.

So would I, or Privateer 3 ( not this Freelancer BS!) but Priavteer 3 or Wing Commander 6, or X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter 2 or 3 or whatever. I mean, shit don't let this genre fall by the wayside of FPS and RTS!!!
