Replaying a few old Square games

Because I need something to fill the void, I always like to have a few games going at once: I restarted Xenogears, Secret of Evermore, and Breath of Fire III (probably won't get through the whole thing since almost all my favourite scenes and locations are towards the beginning, though my favourite town is the ancient town after the long desert; and almost all of the scenes I disliked the most are towards the end).

Breath of Fire is Square? I thought that series was some other publisher/developer.

Nope, it's by Capcom actually, what the hell was I thinking when I put that one in there? =P

Either way, I think I am going to throw Final Fantasy 7 into the mix as well, but I don't think I will finish that one either because like BoF3, all my favourite parts are at the beginning and all the parts I dislike are towards the end.

Square did the original one with Capcom publishing, but Capcom took over the series development after that

Alright, I was going to pick up Star Ocean III and startplaying that one, but after about 3 hours, I think I can say that Star Ocean 2 is a better game, and from what I hear from people who have played the game, later on my opinion will only be strengthened. I guess I will shove this one to the bottom of the pile for now. Tales of Symphonia seems like a much better action RPG for the current generation.

I found SO3 and SO2 both to be pretty bad, but SO2 at least it was relatively easy to get a riduclously powerful party with the right moves so that the pain of the pointless battle is far less (actually Dias can clean house with just Air Slash if you do Rena's path).

Alright, I started playing Final Fantasy 7 over again. I suggest that some of you guys who recently played FF8 or FF10 play it over again, just for a shock =P
