My Dream Blitzball Team

Center: Zell Dincht - Balamb
Leftwing - Wakka - Besaid
Rightwing - Tidus - Zanarkand
Right Defense - Sabin - South Figaro
Left Defense - Steiner - Alexandria
Goalie - Zidane - Lindblum
Realisticly though, imagine the teams that could be made if they made a Final Fantasy Allstar Sports game? I forget exactly what put this thougth in my head, but I think it could be done. They could add in a number of sports, Blitzball, Hockey, basketball, volleyball, a lot =)
imagine the teams that could be made:
Vector Imperials
South Figaro Machina (Wakka would hate them)
Doma Destroyers
Midgar Mights
Balamb Bashers
Galbadia Badasses
Esthar Stars
Alexandria Greats
Lindblum Sky Captains
Of course, all of the FF10 towns, and the ones mentioned above are just the major teams, there are a bunch of other towns in each game that could have teams. Probably thirty or so in all between the four games.

I liked Blitzball, I just wish that it was more like FF8's minigames where you get really good stuff from it. A card in FF8 is worth A LOT depending on which ones you get.

I hated Blitzball as well, but an making an All Star FF Team sounds like fun. I'm assuming that we're not counting spinoffs, otherwise my team would have only one member: Orlandu!
Center: Tidus - Possibly the best BB player anyway
Right Wing: Kain - I imagine he'll be great at jump shots
Left Wing: Shadow - Quick with the ball, good swimmer
Right Defense: Vincent - Would be hard to get past in monster mode
Left Defense: Locke - Steal!
Goalie: Gogo - Able to mimic the opposition's moves

hahahaha the galbadia badasses....hehehehehe
Lets see at center playing both offense and defense would be Zidane.....you need someone quick that can both steal and be powerful at the same time. Left offenst woul;d be squall to shoot. Right offense is going to be Sabin. He's stronger than shit and should be able to throw that ball through a convrete wall. On Right defense we have barret cause you just gotta have a big scary black guy in the back. Plus with his cannon hand he can still score from insanely far away. Left Defense is gonna be Yang. the master of the kung fu kick and being an all around hard core baddass....plus he's pals with fairies. And for the goalie we get Squall Lionheart. Because when it gets by you need someone whose good at grabbing balls. and you just know that fool is great at snagging balls

To play Blitzball you need to be able to hold your breath for at least 5 minutes. I think this limits you to FF6 and FF10 so far as characters go.

I dunno what you guys are all talking about with Blitzball. I used the same team you start with except for hiring Wedge to use as an offensive forward. It's really pretty fun and I'm undefeated so far in my first season. Does it get harder or something?

Given the Aurochs are a waste of space, yes.

It's impossibly hard if you don't have Jecht Shot. As in you lose to the weakest team every time and don't go anywhere.

Auroch's goalie and forwards are worthless so yeah, they suck. Their tackle and middle forward guys are okay though. Since the stats of your and enemy is based on how well they do, not having Jecht Shot means your Tidus won't be scoring much (less XP) which makes it even worse, though you can always just pass the ball back and forth to gain xp that way. Blitzball isn't very hard, but beating the original Al Bhed team can be pretty challenging since Al Bhed players are pretty much the best at everything (coming from a desert nation of all things), though the signing of people is totally arbitrary so Al Bhed won't keep their team intact for long anyway.

My Aurochs 0wnzors your Aurochs. Then again, I got the Jecht Shot (first time woohoo!) so that may have a lot to do with it.

Once Wedge and Tidus has a leveling edge they can tackle/intercept pretty much anyone and then score which means the other 3 people on the team almost doesn't matter, and the Auroch backcourt isn't too bad actually.

the funny thing is if you level the aurochs goalie up he actually becomes the best goalie in the game...
