This kind of thing really annoys me. I read in a FAQ that Psycho Pocket is acquired on 2nd Militia, and it's needed to get a whole lot of other stuff from bosses, etc. Well, by the time I found this out, I was saved with the MOMO scene, and I still can't get out to 2nd Militia on Disc 2.

Should I just start over and try again? This really pisses me off because I'm about 10-15 hours into it.

Oh man, I hate it when there are one-shot opportunities to get or do important things in games. Some games now almost seem like they were intended to be played while reading a walkthrough.

The only exception I can think of is near the end of CT when you have the choice to get Magus in your party, or for Frog to become human at the end. While it's not obvious how it will change the ending, you're given a clear choice that doesn't depend on having prior knowledge of the game.

I have never even heard of this Psycho Pocket thing. I guarantee you that it is not needed to finish the game.

Of course not, but it's required to get a lot of extra items from bosses, including things that would get you double attacks, new ethers, etc.

According to a FAQ I skimmed through, you can get it later on after the Stronghold, but I do know that I missed a double attack from Albedo.

That would definitely be helpful; Since I wasn't really getting stuck anywhere in the game I didn't bother with the side quests or anything. I haven't done the epilogue yet, but I have finished the main story already. I think I will probably need to do some of the side quests before proceeding (if I ever get around to it).

I don't think it's worth starting over for the sake of getting some obscure hidden one-shot opportunity stuff. If such stuff are important to you, just consult the FAQ first so you won't miss it.
