  • Sid Meier's Pirates! (2004 remake)

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Well I bought the game, and played it for a little while, and I really must say that the game is DAMN addictive. It is the same type of gameplay as the original 1987 pirates for Commodore 64, as well as Exploration, Uncharted Waters, New Horizons, and a number of other similar games. The differences are something along the lines of the differences between Grand Theft Auto II and Grand Theft Auto III. In fact, the game does feel a lot like Grand Theft Auto with pirates in the way that it is very open ended.

I would love to see Uncharted Waters get a similar treatment. Anyways, Pirates is definitely worth it, an excellent game.
