• Checked out an Xbox 360 kiosk at Best Buy last night

 • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

The machine in question was playing the demo of Call of Duty 2, and I stuck around for a few minutes after the guy in front of me stopped playing. Here's some impressions, if anyone's curious.

Graphics: Really nice-looking. Extremely crisp and sharp, and very detailed with a high frame rate - basically, everything I would have expected from a next-gen machine. They weren't exactly what I would call mind-blowing, but they certainly left just about every current-gen game I've seen thus far in the dust.

Controller: Here's where things got interesting. The controller is actually smaller and lighter than the current controller S. The analog sticks felt all right - I think at this point I prefer the feel of the sticks on the controller S - but maybe it's just something I need to get used to. They've added a couple of shoulder buttons to the top of the controller in addition to the triggers, so it's got an L1/R1 now, and the buttons are much flatter and feel more like the buttons on a PS2 controller as well.

All in all, it looks like a pretty good system/experience, except I do wish I could have played something other than CoD2.
