I think you're looking at it wrong. You are getting the complete game. GH2 for PS2 is the full game. They did put as much as possible. All 360s, however, have a harddrive and are internet ready; it has capabilities the PS2 does not. That's expected with a next generation console. More is possible with the 360. So they did more. Specifically, they will take advantage of the internet connection to easily distribute more songs, and the harddrive to store them. These extra songs probably woudln't fit on the disc you buy at the store. The way I see it, they said "Hey, look, we can take advantage of these new capabilities to make the 360 version better."
Expansion discs would probably be a loss for them. But that's beside the point.
I know what you're saying, and I don't necessarily disagree, particularly since it's coming out about 6 months after the PS2 version. Like I've said a few times, it's more frustration than anything. Of course, as a fan of the game, I want to have everything it has to offer without having to get a new system. So, as a fan, I do feel screwed by them. Not an issue if it were a sequel, but when it's a super-port, it's an issue. I was pissed about the updated version of Symphony we never got. If I were a big fan of Kingdom Hearts and they didn't release the updated KH2 that included updated stuff and the remake of the GBA game that Japan is getting, I'd be pissed. To me, it's the same thing.
From a business point of view, I agree completely with what they're doing. They're porting a game and giving the newer market more than just a straight port, which is always better for business. But I'm not looking at it from a business point of view, I'm looking at it as a fan. And, as a fan, I feel slighted on this one.
And if they only break even on the expansion discs, it's worth it IMO. As a fan, of course....
