What the story didn't mention was that the German Kid who shot up everything was not playing a game with extreme violence, but Super Mario brothers =P

Why does GameSpot always pick up these stories about the latest insane senator trying to write a doomed-for-failure bill about violent videogames? And then Zeus always seems to take the bait.

Laws goes through several filters before it even gets voted on. Wake me up when somebody actually votes on this. Even if it does, it's Germany, and as the article points out, they are freedom nazis. Fuck Germany, and fuck their stance on freedom of speech.

They're always using 20-year old Swedish supermodel nymphos for bait, that's why :-)

This is Germany, not here. They've had a long history of censorship (do a seach on what they did to Turok for the N64) and I thought it would be a good supplemental story to all the censorship stuff we hear about here.
