Well, the world overall is certainly a LOT better than any of the previous Zelda games. As far as towns go though, this game, as I currently see it, has the least most interesting towns of the 3D games; Majora's Mask being #1, Wind Waker being #2, and Ocarina being #3. Though, I am not very far into the game yet, I finished off the first three real dungeons. Moving onto dungeons, these are quite well done, but not overly difficult, they are about the same difficulty as Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, but not as difficult as Majora's Mask (I felt this one was on a slightly higher difficulty level); which means that most stuff requires thought, and sometimes some trial and error, but rarely will something comes along which stumps the player for very long. Boss battles are easily the best of the series, they are interesting like previous Zelda games, only there are a lot more of them. The events in this game, and the story in this game, the characters as well, are on a significantly greater level than previous games.
Gameplay elements are quite well done. In fact, using the Wiimote targeting system for the bow to take down a lot of enemies at once seems way too easy. I am quite impressed with how well this works. Everything just feels so much easier than it had been in previous Zelda games.
Things might change in time, it does seem that towns are evolving as time goes on. One of the towns began as a ghost town, and has been slowly getting more population; though this might be where it ends. I am not entirely sure just how far I am into the game; it seems quite far, but you never know what they'll throw at you.
Right now, I really like the game, but I liked Ocarina of Time better the first time I played it. Though this could easily change before the end. There is still a lot of the world I have yet to explore, it is HUGE like FF12. I actually love riding the horse around in this game, through the forrests and different locations, this is something that was relatively flat in Ocarina of Time.
One last thing, this game is dark, darker than Ocarina of Time. There are a lot of locations that can be described as creepy =P
