Well guess what, *points* FANBOY!
(i can see right through your bullshit)
No man, it's just that the Playstation brand name is far stronger than Nintendo's right now. It's not like Nintendo's going to reel in the Madden or Burnout or even MGS players by having Wii Play released on it. They don't have the games to capture the core Sony market. Look at the PS3 Godfather game vs the Wii one, it's much better. And no GTA4 on the Wii.
The Wii'll make its success as a cheap alternative or as a seconardy system for some, but it won't eat away at Sony's share too much on its own IMO. That's Microshaft's job, a job that just won't get done in the Japanese market. Get some games on the PS3 and drop the price a bit and it'll start to take over IMO. Their name is strong enough to carry them through 'til then (that and the PS2 sales). But what I've always said is that they'll lose a lot of market share but that they'll come out on top in the end. They may end up barely ahead, but ahead nonetheless.
Of course, I hope Nintendo comes out on top as I think it's the best of the bunch, but that's a personal opinion. Above is what I feel will happen on a more objective level. I hope I'm wrong but I'm just giving the most objective opinion I can. Eventually I'll own all the systems so it don't matter THAT much to me.
(it's easy to see through something that isn't there to block your sight :-)
