I've played other Castlevanias with really good gameplay, as good or better than SotN, but oddly enough, I can't find one with as good a soundtrack as SotN.
I guess most of them have been on the GBA/DS, which still has a shitty sound processor, so they haven't had much of a chance. They need to think about getting on a console again. I, for one, had fun with the 3D cousin they made for the PS2. I think 3D has evolved enough that you can create a good 3D game without too much fuss. (well, unless you do it half-assed and run into camera problems, but I don't expect Konami to have any problems with that.)
Rosalina: But you didn't.
Robert: But I DON'T.
Rosalina: You sure that's right?
Robert: I was going to HAVE told you they'd come?
Rosalina: No.
Robert: The subjunctive?
Rosalina: That's not the subjunctive.
Robert: I don't think the syntax has been invented yet.
Rosalina: It would have had to have had been.
Robert: Had to have...had...been? That can't be right.
