The Other Worlds Shrine

Your place for discussion about RPGs, gaming, music, movies, anime, computers, sports, and any other stuff we care to talk about...

  • Okay, we're back.  I got r00t on this b0x3n, so if you need an e-mail box or something neat like that, let me know.

  • Somehow, we still tolerate each other. Eventually this will be the only forum left.

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>Email is better. Everyone uses an email address, not everyone uses ICQ, IM or MSN. Plus, with IM, you can only message someone if they're currently online.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I agree with Sine, ICQ is the best, besides how often do people check E-mail nowadays? It's not exactly 1995 or 96 anymore.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>That was meant as an insult, but the funny thing is, yeah, CS and physics people aren't normal. Then again, plenty of my friends who aren't technicaly savy who check their mail daily.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt georgia; text-align: left; '>Message Board scripts take up a lot of cpu power(well compared to a boring static site) We switched hosts, who suspended service twice, then found another host but realized too late they dont allow certain message boards because of the resources. So then we got a virtual private server.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>Well, they don't really take up that much CPU power. It's just that these $5/mo hosts don't want to spend the money to get a decent dual-processor box, so they pile a hundred hosts on one box, and hope that nobody like me actually comes along to get my money's worth for my account.</div>
