Well, it's Hitler's birthday, a good time to post this video. It's not every century that a person with the massive influence of Hitler comes around. A representative of extreme rightwinged politics, demagogy, nationalism, and patriotism. He did make a great number of German people shiny and happy though, though being through means that 20th and 21st century society deems as evil.

I just really don't have the patience for you today.

I don't admire Hitler (I'm actually fiercly against the whole idea of nationalism in any society; I'm highly left in my political thinking). I am rather quite fascinated with the fact that a demagog was able to successfully gain the seemingly undying loyalty of as many people as he did through the means of exploiting the fears and ignorance of people through infusion of patriotism and nationalism, and make them happy and cry with joy at the same time by just his presence; I am also fascinated by Jim Jones for a similar reason. Don't get me wrong, I am extremely disgusted by the deaths of humans caused by these people. And yes, genocide and aggressive war is in fact seen as evil in this century and the last century. Though before that genocide and conquest was even praised (not so much in the 19th, but if you go back to the 18th, you had celebrations by Americans for wiping out entire societies of what remained of the indiginous peoples). They even have a Rhodes Scholarship, and highly praised Cecil Rhodes was responsible for acts of Genocide just a few decades before the Nazis (though C.S. Lewis called Rhodes one of the most evil people in history).



On a side note: Hitler was not responsible for the largest genocide in History, just the most widely publicized. I doubt it would have mattered even a fraction as much to the press and therefore to you if those killed had not been mostly white. In the last 500 years the British, Spanish, French, and Americans are responsible for much more and larger acts of genocide than Hitler; yet because they targeted mostly non-whites before the mid-late 19th century they were often praised for it. I am curious as to why you think the Nazi regime executed more people than the soviet regime or the Japanese regime? Also, you have no reason to be aggressive towards me and accusing me of admiring genocide, asshole.

Holocaust, Stalinist Russia, Japan's occupation of China, US vs Native Americans, England in Africa, Arabs and their neighbors--- there's countless accounts of horrible acts of large-scale genocide, the problem is you can't give one the title of "largest act" cause people who carry out genocide tend to be spotty on their record keeping.

So let's just call it "One of the largest acts of genocide" and leave it at that, ok? Stop trying to blame this on some bigger conspiracy to ignore certain parts of history because it was against minorities-- fact is most were done before globalization of news, and as I said above-- there's no way of telling which one's the worst. You just can't get a count on it.

And I don't remember, but I doubt this was the first time you posted some admiration about hitler, so yes-- he does have a reason to lash out.

In more accurate words it is due to his ignoance. I also do not talk about any conspiracy against hiding genocides of minorties in my post at all; why are you accusing me of this? That's just more ignorance and lying on your part since gypsies, homosexuals, jews, and cripples are in fact considered minorities within the world society, and those were among the ones the Nazi regime targetted for execution. Also why are you accusing me of admiring Hitler in other posts, and yet have no evidence to back it? In fact, doing a search of this site I came up with two music parodies of the Nazi party (one featuring Mel Brooks), and comparisons between the Nazi policies and the Republican policies. Are you accusing me of admiring the republican party as well?

You have stated there is also no way of telling which genocide was the biggest, but we do know for a fact that the Nazi genocide was not the largest of even the last century, and that is what is relevant, not what the largest was. The only fact that is relevant to us is that Kupek's accusations, and now yours, are quite uncalled for. Kupek was being an ass; tough I don't really care, I expect Kupek to be an ass =P
