We've heard the numbers, but something I've learned from doing research for a few years is that it's much easier to digest trends and make comparisions visually. The charts take a long time to load, and sometimes fail, so try a few times. Some interesting comparisons:
- Total DS sales vs. American vs. Japanese
- PS2 vs. Wii vs. 360, interesting because 360 is following roughly the same trend the PS2 had, but the Wii is much different.
- PS vs. SNES vs. PS2, best sellers of their respective generations. Big jump from PS to PS2 era.
- PS vs. PS2 vs. PS3, while the PS3 isn't doing as good as the Wii or 360, it's worth keeping in mind that it's starting out similiarly to the PS2.
- Saturn vs. Dreamcast vs. N64, I hadn't realized the Saturn actually outsold the N64.
- Gameboy vs. Gameboy Advance vs. DS
