  • Offical: Smash Bros features online play

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

I like that you can enter 4 pre-saved taunts to display while fighting use the D-Pad. That's pretty cool though a headset would be cooler. I'm sure it'd be doable especially considering the tauning is only available for games with people on your Friends List. Maybe one day...

I was glad to see this update though. Like I needed any more reasons to buy SSBB. :)

Saw that earlier today on the Smash Bros Dojo. They are still updating that site every weekday with some new info.

If I get this game, I predict several years of my life will disappear.

If this thing plays as well as Melee did but online it's gonna be a fun-ass time.

Speaking of Smash, I am quite impressed with the game so far. It has some amazing level design. For example, the Animal Crossing level utilizes the internal clock as Animal Crossing does, if you play at Midnight in the winter then it is midnight and winter in the game; on top of that, the various events and characters also factor into the level depending on the login time; ie, if you're playing Saturday at 8:00 pm then you'll be treated to a show by KK Slider.

Let's see if they decide to use the weather channel for any of the levels....or maybe the news channel for the Pokemon Stadium scoreboard or fill the stadium with your Miis......

Right now the game seems to have too much packed into it for a simple Smash Brothers title =P

I'm really looking forward to it, this could be the first online game since Starcraft that I'll be able to get into, though it all depends on how many people here play it. Mario Kart Wii will probably be the big online game though, it was quite popular on DS, but the offline multiplayer is where I play 99% of my games, 8 player offline multiplayer Mario Kart kicks ass!

I still don't get you and that offline multiplayer shit. I mean, games like Mutant Storm Reloaded or the old arcade multiplayer games at least have the same screen with multiple players. You like to play with that goofy split screen shit, which annoys the hell out of me.

Smash Brothers is a fighting game, it doesn't have a split screen.

It's more fun to have them right there when you're taunting the hell out of them than 2000 miles away when they can just the headset off. How can you taunt with just a stare when they're on another continent? :-)

The pain will come, gentlemen. The pain will come.
