So I've been through the emotional crescendos and diminuendos of the first two episodes of this brilliant series that has covered more moral and social taboos and issues than MSNBC, FOX, and CNN have covered in two decades. Two of my favorite points are...

1) The Blog is the death of modern writing as we know it.

2) California has killed women.

To my first point. I have always hated blogs. I think they are for people who like to stand on soap boxes and think of themselves as important and that their voice actually means for something, when, in fact, 3/4 of them are just fat nerds in front of their computer spewing about how they can't get laid because mom's basement window is to small for their would be lay to fit through, or they are blowing loads attempting to download Halo 3 2:30 before it comes out.

My second point. California has ruined women. Now, I'll be the first to tell you I love women. Particularly petite brunettes with a nice set of tits and shaved legs, but my god, the writers have it right. Simply put, the city of Angels has no more angels in it. We see the plastic parade of the glamorous lifestyle. The tan bodies, bleach blonde hair, french pedicures, rat dogs, and over sized hand bags have domesticated men into thinking that they are now unapproachable because they look so similar to Parindsycolica Spears. The real woman is now a figment of my imagination as she has been ruined by models in the Fredericks of Hollywood ad I still receive since the two women who lived here before me failed to transfer their catalogs and other various girl advertisements that are sent in the mail with "Make your man happy with these 12 sexual positions".


This has to be the most hypocritical post I've ever created.

Holy fuck, we have the EXACT opposite taste in women. For me skinny is mandatory, blonde is much preferred, and I like a tan mainly because chicks with tans generally have a better complexion. I can certainly appreciate any kind of beauty though =)

Though on the subject of Californication, coincidently enough one of my co-workers was talking about the show yesterday and gave it some good reviews. Went in detail about the older midlife crisis guy and the 16 year old chick he's dicking (isn't that illegal in the US? Not so in Canada by the way, but it is a social taboo to have a relationship with a girl under 18, but fucking her, that's just awesome! =P).

Anyway, I am definately going to look this show up, the last new show that I really liked was House.

You seem to think that it's a national law. Nah, we have state-specific laws. In KY, it's 16. In CA (where the show is based), it's 18.

I think it should be 16 everywhere. It's horrible that a 17yr old and a 18yr old can have sex and it's illegal in some states.
