We could also be playing real sports, attacking people with real swords, or fighting off real alien hordes. We don't because we enjoy playing videogames. Get out!
Heh, ya...you got a good aussie point there. In fact, I'm gonna go put away NHL 08 and dig up that rink and professional hockey league I had tucked away in my closet. Then maybe later, I'll pop by an underwater city and fight Big Daddies....or whatever. Because that's the exact same thing as a PLAYING AN INSTRUMENT!!! The difficulty fighting hordes of aliens in real life is almost identical to the difficulty in being able to buy a guitar and amp for 100 bucks!

Ugh...next thing you know, they'll have games that simulate painting...or exercise...or....wait a minute...

HAVE FUN DESTROYING ALL HEALTHY CONCEPTS OF HUMAN SKILL AND INTERACTION YOU 21ST CENTURY E-DORKS!

I fought hordes of aliens before breakfast. We do that down here. You'll forgive me if I want to unwind by playing my fake musical instruments, thank you very much.

Ah hah...you're argument is missing one key thought however. We are all a bunch of lazy gamers who would never take the time to learn real instruments.

Well, they finally announced the price for the Rock Band bundle. $169.99 with a guitar, drum kit, and mic. That's not bad and much better than the $200.00 price originally estimated. Makes me happy. I just wish the 360 bundle was a wireless guitar, but what can you do?

And it's coming out for the PS2 also. That's a big deal, I'd imagine.
Wired wrote:The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Rock Band will ship on November 23 at the lower-than-expected price of $170, Wired News learned this morning.

In addition, a PlayStation 2 version of the game will also be released this holiday season. It will be in stores December 10 at a price of $160.

The price of the next-gen console versions of Rock Band was originally set at $200, so this $30 price reduction has got to be great news for all would-be purchasers. And with a PlayStation 2 version inbound, this means that Rock Band is going to make an even bigger splash this holiday.

That new price point actually allows me to get that and GH3 with guitar with the credit I have left, so I'm very happy 'bout that. Saves me a good $40
