* Sonic in SSBB, Japanese released date pushed back to late January 2008
* Wii Fit release date confirmed, early December in Japan
* Mark Kart Wii confirmed for Spring 2008, includes motorcycles (?!)

Yeah I was just about to post about Sonic being in brawl. Its a huge one for me, I REALLY hoped they would pull that off.

Sonic in Smash Brothers is awesome! Though the DS version of Fire Emblem is an announcement I have been anticipating more and much much longer. I feel the DS is the perfect system for Fire Emblem. Speaking of Fire Emblem, the first Wii version is a month away.

I am surprised no firmware update to utilize memory cards, or a harddrive has been announced yet. They announced a couple of Wii Ware games including Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Pokemon, both of which can't be very small titles considering the 15 dollar pricetag. Particularly considering Crystal Chronicles has also been described as an RPG and Country building game, which can't be small. http://www.square-enix.co.jp/littleking/ The webpage Square has up for the game is entitled "Little King" as well. This new take on Crystal Chronicles looks like it will be a lot more interesting than the old Gamecube version. Yes, I am QUITE worried about my memory and hope they announce something soon, because I will be looking to expand my library but I need the space (I have 5700 points at the moment and I am going to want to spend those).

I suppose Monster Rancher 3 was originally a PS3 game? It seems to be a game more suited towards Nintendo's audience, though it was a huge seller on PS2 I recall.

Anyway, additional news:

-Everybody votes will be updated for an emphasis on games and will have a game rankings section included

-DS download station will be added to Wii, grab all the demoes there now

They also updated to firmware version 3.1 today. Only additions seem to be to be able to use a USB keyboard. Also you have to update Everybody Votes, so I am wondering if mabye something is different there, as they said they were adding more functionality to it.

You mean like giving you 4 options to vote on instead of 2? That's a complete no brainer to me and should always have been there

I heard they were adding game reviewing to Everybody Votes. It always drove me nuts that a voting channel on a game system NEVER HAD GAMING-BASED QUESTIONS. It always has stuff like "Are you right or left handed?" or "Do you prefer dogs or cats?" Who cares??? I want to know if people like Mario or Luigi better. Or if they'd like voice acting in Zelda games. Stuff like that.

The backgrounds are lovely, but it looks like they're using pre-rendered 3D for the sprites. LAAAAME.
