I'm going on my first week long vacation next week since I started working full time almost 1 1/2 years ago... just spending the time down in Florida with relatives who own a place there. Low key, relaxing, so I thought I'd bring my Xbox too and in that case would get a game to play while down there...

Now Orange Box is out of the question-- don't want that yet and probably not for the 360. Here is what I have or have played:

Gears of War, Dead Rising, Halo 3 (duh), Call of Duty 3, Bioshock, R6: Vegas, Crackdown, Battlestations: Midway, Viva Pinata, Saints Row, Lost Planet.

Anyone have any suggestions for an entertaining game for the week? I was thinking of Fight Night since it'd be both cheap and good... but don't know if it's a good time waster or not.

The only thing I own that you don't (except for Guitar Hero, and you're not allowed to play that) is The Darkness, which is definitely worth a playthrough. It's not a great technical shooter, but it's got a great atmosphere, it's well paced, and the story's kind of cool. Ending's not the greatest, though.

It's not perfect, but I had a lot of fun with it in the way I did with Chronicles of Riddick (same developer). It also features one of the hardest-to-watch moments in a game I've seen yet.

Did anybody else play this? Did we already talk about it?

I've played a few builds of it I love the game but there are some problems with it.....namely how damned slow you are. but I do like the game. and yeah....they took the general storyline from the comic which had a few emotional gut punches come at you. Really enjoyed it.

You mentioned basically anything worth playing, but I also like some of the XBLA stuff. Geometry Wars, Pac-Man Championship (played it at a buds but I'm too cheap to buy it; I'll get it when the Xbox Arcade system's out), Hexic HD, etc. And, of course, there's the classics like Symphony and TMNT that are pretty decent too.

Of course, you could just downlaod TVersity (www.tversity.com) and watch a whole shitload of anime like Death Note or shows like Earl :-)

Tversity still requires you download them on PC first. Death Note I watched back when it came out... think I stopped at one point after the main plotline ended.

Well thanks for the input guys-- but in the end I decided on NHL 08... haven't had a sports game on 360 yet. Looks very good.
