Bullshit. Professional reviewers are always working to deadline, and you'd hope that if they were any good they wouldn't let that unduly influence their review.
Reviewing to deadline, I think, has about as much to do with unfavourable impressions of the game, as the PA guys having been paid to advertise and create media for it has to do with their favourable impressions, I would say: hopefully not that much, as they're all professionals. Perhaps some reviewers didn't score it out the nines as they thought, according to their informed opinion, that it was flawed?
