Lotus suggested it, so here it is. Pretty much every good game coming out this year is out so we're not gonna end up with a suprise title between now and the end of the year.
I left out the handhelds (Castlevania Drac X, FF12:RW) 'cause I don't think they have a prayer in such an awesome time for games. And I only put in the ones since August 'cause I think they're the only ones that have a chance right now. I left out PS3 games because, well, let's just say the PS3 is slightly lacking in quality titles and I don't think Ratchet, essentially the only game that came out on the system this year that's worth it, will stand a chance against the titles I've listed.
The voting's open 'til New Year just to give time for people to actually play the games. I know I'm having a helluva time getting through anything right now and those of you in school will need time/money which you won't have 'til later. 'Cause voting's open for so long, I can update some of the options if people see fit although I think I've captured any game that has a chance in hell.
Tough one, but I have to vote for Galaxy. It is that damned good. I don't think anything's gonna change since I've played an hour or more of nearly everything else down there (stupid EA not giving me Rock Band yet) and I put them all aside for this insanely fun game. Playing this game feels just as fresh as playing Mario 64 for me...and I rented a Jap system and played it for 10 hours straight just so I can play it ASAP. I thought I was too jaded by now to get like this over a game but I was proven wrong. This game really reminded me why I got into gaming to begin with: sheer fun. I'm ankerin' to get home tonight to play it.
Mind you, any other year and Bioshock, Mass Effect, or The Orange Box could easily have won for me. There's just too much amazing stuff right now, particularly with the ultimate trump card in Mario.

I was there on that fateful day, were you?
