Totally forgot this aired today... went to go watch Simpsons and found it luckily.

I don't know what to make of it... I expected it to fall flat but it really wasn't bad at all. Storyline is enough to keep me interested so far, and Summer Glau (River from Firefly) is great to finally watch as a "normal" person.

Anyone else catch it? Part 2 of the pilot is on at 9 tomorrow; I'll wait till after then to pass judgment.

Getting it based on Summer Glau being in. Will watch later.

That's pretty much how I decided to give it a try: Few points for picking a franchise and plot that shows promise, many points for having Summer.

Bah, I refuse to accept it, even with Summer in it.

Dear god, what's wrong this time? Did robots rape your puppy or something and now you refuse to watch new shows about them?

I don't care if you don't like a show... but to "refuse" to watch it based on whatever stupid ass reason you have is just retarded

I dunno. It's like playing another Megaman game: same old boring bullshit. The series begs to be disappointed, and frankly the previews for the thing looks really stupid.

The previews didn't show shit... and really, the first hour that was on last night was very little like the movies. Really, either give the show a chance or shut it. You're not even basing your opinion off of reviwes-- you're basing it off of 2 minute commercials.

I'm not really sure where the heck they're going to go with the story, but I'm interested enough to give it a shot. What, is there anything else to watch? No

I'm curious to see where they take it. I didn't hate the third film, I thought it was pretty decent. It just happened to come after two of the best action movies ever. I'm willing to give this show a few eps to show me what it's going to do

How can you be so open minded and rational about this, but the opposite about Live? :P

I don't hate those in charge of the Terminator franchise, they haven't given me a reason to hate them yet :-)

I haven't watched it (except the 1st 10 minutes or so) but I have it DVR'd so I'll probably watch it this week.

I'm definitely looking forward to it. I didn't like T3, but I love T1 and T2 and I'm hoping this will breathe some new life into the series.

I think Lena Headey does a good Sarah Connor. Did it take anyone else as long as me to figure out what else "John Connor" has been in? It finally clicked and I was like "Heroes! Oh yeah!" haha

It was alright. I'll watch the next one. It's nice to see Summer Glau again. And the enemy terminator is the klepto sous chef from Kitchen Confidential.

Did anybody catch this? The computer store John is in in ep 2. When he exits, you can see the address of the store (or its name?) on the door window: 1337.

is this a "do download" or "don't download" kind of a show?

I noticed!! LoL I thought it was pretty funny. Although for being an old school hacker he was pretty fucking stupid. "Let's use the laptop connected to the BIG SCREEN behind me!"

Dude, he's OLD SCHOOL (1999). How could he know the comp was hooked up to a big screen TV?

Clearly the fate of mankind would be better handled by somebody more observant.

I'm not so sure he IS the fate of mankind. I'm half expecting it to end up that this kid is just some idiot soldier in the war-- that the real savior of mankind switched identities with so that the machines would be going on wild goose hunts throughout time while he stays safe.

I dunno. There's already a movie planned taking place in the future starring Christian Bale as John Conner. So I think he's the real deal. haha

I never said that the leader wasn't John Conner-- my thought was that the kid being chased in the movies and this series isn't him; that the real little John Conner is safe growing up somewhere else while machines go on a wild goose chase.

Nah, I don't buy it. At the very least, that would make for a lame plot twist. :)
Besides, that would take some seriously good planning for the savior John Conner to send back a guy to protect Sarah Conner and get her pregnant so that fake John Conner would exist. I guess it's always a possibility, but I'd stop watching after that was revealed anyway!

Though if the machines were running some kind of Windows OS, they might just be that dumb. haha

Give me a few more eps to see where they're going with the concept and I'll give you my opinion on that

There's too much build up that he becomes who he is BECAUSE the Machines keep sending back Terminators for him.
