I was there on that fateful day, were you?
Oh be quiet and go and watch First Blood and Rocky :-)SineSwiper wrote:WARNING!! SPOILERS BELOW!
Bond talks to M and gets cool gadgets from Q. Bond fights bad guys, while meeting hot chick. Bond defeats bad guys with cool gadgets, and gets to bone the hot chick. The End!
I still have it on my PC, but haven't watched it yet.Kupek wrote:Sine, did you see the most recent Bond movie? I'm guessing not. It was actually a good movie, independent of being a Bond movie.
I'm not so sure it was like being the presence of God but it wasn't bad. Although like the new Die Hard, it wasn't really a Bond flick.Newfoundlander wrote:Yeah, Casino Royal was awesome. It's one of my favorite movies overall.
I am not exactly sure how you're going to justify this. Gambling, hot chicks, gadgets, insane action, a villain with an oddity about him, conspiracy, one liners, based on an original book, and more. This flick was much more of a Bond flick than anything we have seen since The Living Daylights.Zeus wrote:I'm not so sure it was like being the presence of God but it wasn't bad. Too "intense" or "realistic" for a Bond flick. And the change to a "before-Bond" character didn't help. Again, not saying it was bad, it just wasn't BondDutch wrote:I am not exactly sure how you're going to justify this. Saying a Bond movie is too intense is like saying a Schwartzenegger action flick has too many explosions. Bond films are SUPPOSED to be intense, that is one of the main parts of the classic formula. Also, if Casino Royale is too realistic to be Bond, then so are half the other Bond movies out there.Zeus wrote:Too "intense" or "realistic" for a Bond flick.
