I don't know about you guys, but we've been getting snow up the ass over here in Southern Ontario for the last few weeks. It's only February 13 and we've already broken the all-time February record with 66 inches so far this month. It's been insane commuting (I do 65k each way, or about 40 miles) and then going home and snow-blowing both my mom's and my driveways after a long day of work.

Any one else here getting smacked around by this stuff?

EDIT: sorry, that was 66cm so far, not inches, with another 10 cm expected tonight

Well, certainly not like you guys, but we're in the middle of our version of a winter storm. Lots of snow, ice, melting then refreezing into sheets of ice. We have about 5 inches of snow/ice right now hehe almost enough to shut the city down!!

We're not setting records, but it's been snowing almost every day for the past week.

We are getting ~50-60 cms this week, about two feet, though this is typical for the East coast.

We've been getting ice. We had snow just before mardi-gras (8in) and some areas to the south of the city saw up to 2in of ice. Since it's mostly rural areas down there a lot of the roads haven't been plowed and there are a lot of school closures out there. It's been cold here, the high tomorrow is 51 but friday the high is supposed to only get to about 27 and snowy for the rest the of the weekend.

Just rain in the DC metro area. It iced over last night, but isnt cold enough (very close!) for the rain to be sleet or freeze over during the day today. They are calling for possible snow showers and more freezing over tonight, but no real accumulation.

We've yet to have a big storm this year, but thats typical for our area. We seem to get a decent one near the end of Feb or early March, when it comes in like a lion.

You guys down there getting ice is the worst. We had a bit of that last week when we had the heavy, pellet-like snow and then it iced over overnight (made for some very fun shovelling, let me tell ya) but getting wetness then freezing over without the snow on top to increase the friction coefficient (ya like that one, Kupek? ;-) is brutal for any kind of travel.

We do get it occasionally but usually it just snows on top of it. We're kinda lucky that way

I'm up in the Philly area so I got what Flip had but it WAS iced. Drive home yesterday was a mess... drive to work today was alright though because it warmed up enough to melt. Just been raining ever since.

The weather did manage to take out my power at 11:30pm last night and stay that way for almost 12 hours. Taking a shower by flashlight is no fun... thank god I didn't have to shave this morning.
