I'm pregnant!

It's a bit of a surprise because the plan was to wait until after the wedding in June but nevermind. Early days yet - I'm probably only about 6wks along - but I'm very excited. :)

Congrats! Start taking your folic and all of that. Sorry that this news had to come in-between jobs, but things will pan out in the end.

Yeah, I started taking folic acid the day I found out and cut out all caffine. Now I don't know whether I'm tired because I'm pregnant or tired because I've stopped drinking Diet Coke etc.

This is just a ruse to reassure me that the baby isn't yours, isn't it?

I had better find a job soon!

This is just a ruse to get me to send in DNA samples, isn't it?

I wish you would stop sending me DNA samples. Isn't your prostate sore?!

You can have it if you want it! I'm pretty sure you'd be the only Scott Taumoefolau in the world.

Thanks for the well wishes, all.

It's not the lack of caffeine making you tired ;)

One site that I really liked was http://www.i-am-pregnant.com
It's like myspace for pregnant people. You get your own page that you can update, etc and there is a week by week tracker that tells you everything you wanna know about you and the baby for that weeks. it's pretty neat. There's a great support group for all kinds of symptoms and issues. You will learn a lot about what to expect :)

Good luck!

Outside my dorm for several days now there have been pictures of horrible, bloody, shredded apart aborted baby fetuses.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR EXPECTED NEW ARRIVAL!

God, I hate pro-life campaigns like that.

Yes, so do I. I did have an interesting conversation with a pro-lifer and, while they make some valid points about how it's strangely morally acceptable to kill a baby because it's inconvieniant, but not a toddler or a ten year old, I started to get irritated by the woman's insistence on comparing the 50 million abortions per year (which is a number I find highly suspect) to, say, the HOLOCAUST.
