You hold it like a book (think Hotel Dusk or Ninja Gaiden), plug in a coloured fret button adaptor into the GBA slot, and strum on the touch screen with a special pick stylus. WTF?

It could work. I want to give that thing some hands on time to see first though.

I wonder what songs they'll get and how they'll sound. It's definitely only worth it for me if it's real music and not midi or some crap like that.
