Actually there are people like that. I read all about the different shit last night... most of it batshit stupid:
1) The 16th Amendment is either a) unconstitutional b) wasn't properly ratified or c) Ohio wasn't a state (Wrong, wrong, and stupid)
2) Even if the 16th amendment is thought to be right, it doesn't give the government any new power to levy taxes (wtf? yes it does... that's specifically what it does)
3) The 16th amendment fails to define the term "income" and wages should not be included as such. Income is supposed to be defined as profit from doing business whereas wages are (some claim) a trade; you are trading me my time and expertise for money.
Only #3 do I see as having any legs because it may actually have a point. Either way, however, it doesn't matter. The government WILL tax your income and you WILL pay, or you go to jail. If someone actually had the time, energy, etc to somehow challenge and WIN and nullify the 16th amendment it wouldn't' fix anything-- we'd just have 40% sales tax instead of income tax.
