I know there was a thread about this earlier (started by Sine? or myself?) and a whole mess of suggestions were thrown out, but i took a shot in the dark at an anime on Netflix calle Paranoia Agent and after the first two disks, its pretty awesome.

Just a quick pick if anyone is looking for a more serious, darker, adult oriented series. One of the cooler openings ive seen.

I couldn't follow Paranoia Agent... although I did only try to watch it through [AS] so I missed an episode here or there.

I really didn't get into it. I was even more disappointed at the ending.

If you want an "adult" anime, I would recommend Ergo Proxy or Ghost in the Shell. Though, I'm partial to sci-fi anime with intelligent dialogue.

recommend anything else along those lines? I LOVED GiTS:SAC (1 and 2), and mildly enjoyed Gantz... what are other good sci-fi animes? Doesn't matter if they are filled with intelligent dialogue or adult content, just gimme some sci-fi.

Aye. I wish there was more out there. Don't know a lot of good ones like that.

Vandread and Martian Successor Nadesico are good Scifi anime, but both are more comedy than anything.

There's also... RahXephon, Full Metal Panic, Generator Gawl, and Fafner. Most I can't claim to be "scifi" unless the existance of mechs only qualifies it for scifi anime... but all were good.
